A study released this fall shows that the number of people who reported skipping prescription medication doses, doctors’ appointments and medical tests among the way they try to save on health care costs rose to 48%. Surgeon General Stresses Important of Medication Adherence
Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, speaking at the Baltimore launch of the “Script Your Future” campaign, urged patients with chronic conditions to speak to their healthcare professionals about the importance of taking their medications as directed. “Our national challenge is to prevent poor health outcomes and to become a healthy and fit nation.
